Project Everlast is a collection of youth councils across Nebraska. Youth voice is at the center of all Project Everlast efforts. Here in Lincoln, Project Everlast Youth Council members learn public speaking skills so they can advocate for system change, speak to senators and other key decision makers and better themselves through access to education, employment and other support services.
Youth Council members also serve as a powerful source of peer-to-peer support for one another as they transition to adulthood. While Project Everlast impacts change in the community, we also find time for social events and activities to build long-lasting bonds.
Project Everlast welcomes young adults 14-24 who have experience in the child welfare or juvenile justice systems, have experienced homelessness, are pregnant or parenting or have felt disconnected from their community.
